FACT OR FICTION: IS IT REALLY THAT FAR?

To tell you the truth, it is far. It's right at the opposite of everything civilized in Busuanga Island.

If you take it by water, it would take you around four hours by boat. The boat would go around the whole island to reach this small island of Calauit. Also, the boat operator would charge you around Php 9000. If you prefer this route you better leave your inn or resort by around 4am. I kid you not.

But we found a better way.

Again, we advertise the owner of the van, Tawini, who picked us up by around 530am. Really early. But, we only reached the other side of Busuanga in just TWO AND A HALF HOURS! This is the truth. There's basically no traffic in Busuanga, but getting there early ensures you that you get too much sunburn.

Also, Tawini charged us Php 5000 for the whole van, back and forth from Busuanga. So, imagine if you guys are around ten, then you would have saved a lot of extra dough. There are cute t-shirts on the island, so you get some!

Upon arriving at the tip of Busuanga in two and a half hours, a five minute boat ride will get you to the island of Calauit. The boat operator would charge you php 400 with a return trip.

Then the magic begins.

To be continued.
